Cognition and Education (Cognitive Principles of Education)
The connection between cognitive sciences and education has been discussed since the beginning of the formation of cognitive sciences. The International Science Association, after stating this connection, considered education as one of the fields that benefit from the findings of cognitive sciences; because the components such as learning, attention, memory, creativity, and intelligence are the basic concepts of education that a new understanding of them can be found in cognitive explanations. Because the child actively learns from the first days of life and develops his mind and brain, cognitive teachings can help the child's developmental powers and how he uses his mind and brain. Interdisciplinary experts in the field of cognitive science who seek to understand the nature and function of the mind and brain are expected to assist educators in providing new scientific foundations for education and providing practical principles and prescriptions for practitioners.
