Précis of Transcendent Wisdom: From An Introduction to Mullah Sadrā's Theosophical System

This book has been written in order to introduce the philosophical system of the great sage, Sadr al-Muta’allehin Shirazi, and to introduce the transcendent wisdom to Western philosophers. This book is a compact of the two-volume book “Introduction to the system of Sadra’s wisdom”. The purpose of it is to write a book suitable for teaching transcendent wisdom to students. In this book, wherever the word “philosophy” or “philosopher” and the like are used, it means Islamic philosophy and Muslim philosophers, and everywhere “former philosophers” and similar interpretations are meant, the philosophers before Sadr al-Muta’allehin. This book is useful for those who are at least as familiar with philosophy as the book “The End of Wisdom” or “Isharat” of Avicenna.
