The philosophical and theoretical developments of the last six decades in linguistics, which have been created or revived by the world’s leading figures, carry a history of two thousand and several hundred years in human civilization. The transmission and expression of these concepts and topics in Persian must be both documented and close to and faithful to the essence of those concepts. In this regard, word selection and terminology are an important part of that mission. The concepts introduced and explained in this book are not simple because they speak of a phenomenon that is unique to man and an irreplaceable gift, the product of thousands of years of evolution, and is, therefore, a very complex event. Therefore, documenting and accurately speaking about it at the level it deserves can not be easy and simple. But this endeavor is very enjoyable, satisfying, informative, and instructive, and is undoubtedly a step towards the localization of linguistics in Iran, as well as the further strengthening of the Persian language as the language of science.
